Carney Escalates Trade War By Deploying Canada’s Most Dangerous Weapon: Basic Fucking Competence
Prime Minister Mark Carney marked Canada’s counter-tariffs Tuesday by unveiling Ottawa’s most aggressive response yet to Donald Trump: behaving like the fucking Prime Minister.
Speaking from a housing factory, Carney calmly outlined plans to strengthen Canadian industry and reduce U.S. dependence, refusing to name Trump because apparently “the orange c*** trying to repossess Canada” was sufficiently implied.
Behind him, workers continued assembling windows, providing a useful visual metaphor for a country attempting to build shit while its neighbour eats drywall.
Carney warned the transition would hurt, but laid out an actual plan – an increasingly exotic form of leadership in a continent where economic policy is now routinely announced between golf grievances.
The contrast was striking: one leader discussing resilience, investment and sovereignty; the other treating international trade like a casino buffet he’s been asked to leave.
Canada may not win the trade war.
But at least nobody handed the nuclear codes to the guy arguing with the self-checkout.
