Alberta Separatist Movement Receives Much-Needed Support From People Who Can’t Pronounce Alberta
Alberta’s fight to free itself from foreign influence has received an important boost from unidentified foreigners apparently trying to influence it.
Researchers uncovered at least twenty YouTube channels flooding Canadians with AI-generated separatist propaganda, fake images, fabricated stories and narrators claiming to be Albertans despite occasionally sounding like they learned Canada from a Wikipedia page five minutes ago.
The network has generated millions of views promoting Alberta independence and U.S. annexation, elegantly combining the movement’s twin principles of “Albertans must control their own destiny” and “hopefully somebody in another country can help decide it for us.”
Experts warn foreign interference could intensify ahead of a potential referendum.
Separatists, however, insist Alberta’s future must be decided by Albertans.
Or Americans.
Or Russians.
Or a server farm in Malaysia.
Anybody, really, as long as they’re not from Ottawa.
