Trump Declares Jokes About Him Unconstitutional, Files Lawsuit Against Sense of Humor

, , , , ,

In a stunning development that legal scholars are describing as “deeply unserious but very on brand,” former President Donald Trump, 79, declared during a rally Tuesday that it should be “completely illegal” for late-night hosts to make fun of him. “They say freedom of speech,” Trump said, waving his hands, “but nobody says freedom from being roasted every night by these losers.”

Trump reportedly became enraged after hearing a joke comparing his hair to “cotton candy left out in a rainstorm.” Sources close to him say he immediately ordered his lawyers to “find the clause in the Constitution that bans disrespect.”

Legal experts confirm that such a clause does not exist, though one aide suggested Trump “might just write his own Constitution if necessary.”

Meanwhile, late-night hosts have responded by declaring next week “National Trump Joke Week,” promising to test the limits of this new “law.”
