Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre’s birth mother recently stepped forward to show her support for abortion access for women. “They always talk about how ‘what if you abort a baby that would have cured cancer?’ but nobody talks about your baby becoming the leader of the Conservative Party.”
Thousands of women each year turn to abortion for several private reasons. While the Conservative Party of Canada has said it will not launch anti abortion measures, conservative voters are not so sure. “There are always options,” says anti-abortion advocate Chet Myers “Like putting a baby up for adoption.” When asked how many babies Chets family has adopted, he declined to answer.
