Poilievre Achieves Historic Unpopularity, Still Considers It a Win

, , , ,

According to a new study by the Angus Reid Institute, Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre has achieved what few politicians dare dream of: an all-time high unfavourability rating of 60%, shattering previous records and several mirrors in the process.

Just 34% of Canadians say they hold a positive view of Poilievre, a figure aides insist is “deeply encouraging when you ignore the rest of the country.” Even among Conservatives, enthusiasm appears muted, with only 58% saying he should remain leader – well short of the 80% support he’s hoping to manifest spiritually at his leadership vote in January.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Mark Carney leads Poilievre in net favourability by a staggering 39 points, roughly the political equivalent of being lapped while still tying your skates.

Poilievre responded by accusing polls of being “elitist,” “gatekeeping,” and possibly funded by Justin Trudeau’s vibes, adding that real Canadians don’t answer surveys – they glare silently at gas pumps.
