“Owning” the Libs might be a little out of budget. MAGA Supporters Now “Subscribing” to the Libs as Wallets Run Dry

, , , , ,

In a twist that even irony itself might find too on-the-nose, many die-hard MAGA supporters are finding themselves unable to “own the libs” because they’re, well, broke. Trump’s second-term economic policies—marked by aggressive tariffs, supply chain chaos, and eye-watering gas prices—have left red-state wallets as empty as a rust belt mall on a Tuesday.

“I used to buy six flags a year,” said Doug Wiggins, a retired HVAC tech and part-time keyboard warrior. “Now I gotta lease one. Can’t even wave it hard anymore.”

The economic fallout has given rise to a darkly funny phenomenon known as “LibFlix,” where former culture warriors find themselves “subscribing” to liberal norms. They share Netflix passwords with their progressive nieces, drive hand-me-down Priuses from Blue State relatives, and reluctantly sign up for Biden-era public health plans they swore they’d never touch.

“I told my wife I’d rather die than get socialist medicine,” said one man, clutching his BidenCare Plus insulin vial. “But that was before Walmart stopped carrying syringes and started selling books about climate change.”

Meanwhile, liberal pundits are left scratching their heads at their new conservative audience. “We’re not sure if it’s satire or surrender,” said one Brooklyn podcast host, “but subscriptions are up.”

Turns out, in 2025, “owning” the libs might be a little out of budget.
