In a revelation that has stunned absolutely no one, MAGA-aligned evangelical leader Pastor Dwight Harlan, who spent years warning his flock about the “perverse agenda” of LGBTQ people, has pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography.
Harlan, 57, was arrested after authorities found a hard drive labeled “Youth Ministry Materials” containing hundreds of illicit images. The pastor, known for sermons comparing Pride Month to “Sodom’s birthday party,” has now admitted to downloading content that, unlike those he attacked with his rhetoric, actually harmed children.
“This is a spiritual attack,” Harlan initially claimed before admitting guilt in court, where even the judge struggled to hide a smirk.
Congregants expressed shock. “We thought he just hated rainbows, not children,” said one tearful deacon.
Harlan faces up to 20 years in prison, where he’s expected to lead a very different kind of “men’s ministry.” His lawyer declined to comment, citing an urgent need to vomit.
