“God Bless America” New RealityShow Pits Immigrants Against Each Other for U.S. Citizenship

In a move that critics have called “deeply disturbing” and the show’s producers describe as “revolutionary prime-time entertainment,” a new reality series titled “American Gauntlet” is set to premiere next month. The show, backed by the Trump Administration, pits immigrants against each other in a series of grueling physical challenges, pop quizzes on U.S. civics, high-stakes, gladiator-style contests, with the grand prize being a fast-tracked U.S. citizenship.

Hosted by former WWE star and political provocateur Glenn “Patriot” Steele, the show’s teaser promises a “heart-pounding, star-spangled bloodbath” as contestants dodge drones, outrun robo-hounds, and debate each other on the Founding Fathers’ intentions while scaling a replica of the U.S.-Mexico border wall.

“Finally, a show that puts the ‘survival’ back in survival of the fittest,” Steele said, flexing in an American flag unitard during the press conference.

While the show’s creators insist it’s all in good fun, critics have blasted it as “dystopian fear-mongering,” comparing it to classics like The Running Man and The Hunger Games. However, early focus groups revealed surprising support among viewers, with one participant noting, “It’s like a Fourth of July barbecue, but with more pyrotechnics and slightly less dignity.”

The show’s finale promises a live fireworks display over Ellis Island, where the winning contestant will receive their U.S. passport, a lifetime supply of hot dogs, and a bald eagle plushie that plays “God Bless America” when squeezed.
