Carney Talks Green Future, Poilievre Promises Black Goo and Freedom

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre took aim at Mark Carney, accusing the ex–Banker and current Prime Minister of “steering the country toward an eco-socialist wasteland where the only jobs are in compost management.”

Poilievre pledged to reverse course by “legalizing” pipelines, as though they were some kind of forbidden narcotic, “except more addictive and with far better margins.”

“They say fossil fuels are killing the planet,” Poilievre told reporters. “Well, so is inflation, and at least oil keeps you warm while you die.”

Critics warned the plan could lead to environmental catastrophe, but Poilievre insisted Canadians “deserve freedom, the freedom to burn whatever’s left before the sun goes out.”

Carney was unavailable for comment, reportedly lost somewhere in the “wrong direction” with a GPS that only runs on wind power.
