Canada Now Worst Place on Earth, Says Woman Paid Six Figures by Canadian Government

Premier Danielle Smith set a new record this week—not for leadership, but for creative geography—by boldly declaring that Canada has “the lowest living standards in the world.” The claim, made during a press conference about grocery prices, was met with widespread confusion, laughter, and at least one economist choking on his coffee.

“Forget war zones, famine, or the complete absence of plumbing,” Smith said. “The real tragedy is Tim Hortons raising the price of a maple dip.”

While international observers were quick to check if she’d confused Canada with an alternate universe, Smith doubled down, citing evidence such as long hospital wait times and the emotional trauma of weak Wi-Fi signals in rural Alberta.

Critics suggested the premier’s statement was either a deliberate distraction or a bold new method of manifesting policy through delusion. “If Danielle says we’re living in a Mad Max-style wasteland, maybe she’s just getting ahead of next month’s provincial budget,” quipped one political analyst.

Meanwhile, Statistics Canada politely offered to send Smith a globe and a copy of How Countries Work: For Dummies.

As for Canadians, many just shrugged, wrapped themselves in their free healthcare, and trudged off into the snowdrift toward their heated homes.
