B.C. Freezes Time, Alberta Debates Rewinding It Entirely

, , , ,

On Monday, David Eby announced that British Columbia will remain on daylight saving time year-round after clocks spring forward this weekend, eliminating the biannual ritual of squinting at microwaves and arguing about what time it “really” is. For half the year, that will align B.C.’s clocks with Alberta.

In a statement, the office of Danielle Smith acknowledged that both neighbouring provinces, B.C. and Saskatchewan, have opted out of seasonal time change.

Officials say Alberta is “evaluating options,” including a bold compromise: one final clock adjustment, set permanently to 1951, when oil was cheap, houses cost $12, and you didn’t have to worry about inclusive pronouns!

“I remember the good old days when the white man was able to go about his day to day without seeing any of “Them”” one senior government source mused out loud while uttering about the immigrant problem. “We have been against change for 50 years, but if we have to, let’s really change time!”

BSN reached out to the premier’s office for a follow-up comment, receiving an email shortly after with a link to Danielle Smith’s new Trad Wife youtube channel.
