Alberta Separatist Leader Accused of Proving He’s Ready for Independence by Separating $112 Million From Its Owners
Alberta separatist leader Jeffrey Rath is facing a $112-million lawsuit from American investors alleging he kept collecting millions after being fired by a First Nation, demonstrating the kind of financial transparency Albertans can expect from their future sovereign nation.
The allegations, which remain unproven, come as Rath separately failed to convince a judge to unfreeze nearly $800,000 for legal bills and his horse-racing hobby.
The judge cited unreliable financial disclosure, apparently unaware that refusing to account for money is now a cornerstone of Alberta’s independence movement.
Rath declined reporters’ questions, saying, “Please stop bothering me.”
Political observers praised his leadership credentials, noting that anyone who can allegedly lose track of $112 million, piss off Indigenous communities, and tell people demanding accountability to fuck off is already qualified to run Alberta.
