Poilievre hopes Rogan Appearance Counts as Having Friends

Standing beneath the soft glow of podcast lighting and the faint hum of protein powder endorsements, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre sat down with Joe Rogan last week, embarking on what aides describe as a “critical policy discussion” and what Poilievre reportedly described as “my shot to finally seem cool.”

The two-hour conversation touched on health, politics, and Canada’s future, though observers noted Poilievre appeared most animated when discussing cold plunges, deadlifts, and the possibility that Rogan might say, “you’re a pretty interesting dude.”

At several points, Poilievre carefully avoided criticizing Prime Minister Mark Carney, sources say, in case Rogan “doesn’t vibe with negativity.” He did, however, push back on Donald Trump’s suggestion Canada become the 51st state, clarifying that Canada is already “its own thing, which is cool in a different way.”

Rogan, whose show reaches millions and occasionally reality, nodded throughout.

The Conservatives say the appearance will expand Poilievre’s appeal internationally. Insiders confirm the primary metric of success is whether Rogan follows him on Instagram.

As of publication, Poilievre was reportedly replaying the episode, pausing only to check if anyone had commented “this guy’s actually pretty chill.”
