Trump Labels Restaurant Protesters a “Threat,” Suggests Jail Time for Bad Table Manners
President Donald Trump shocked exactly no one when he declared that a group of women who loudly protested him at a D.C. restaurant should face jail time. Asked by a reporter if he was serious, Trump replied, “Certainly, I thought it was very inappropriate. Yeah, I think they were a threat.”
It remains unclear whether the “threat” in question was to national security or simply to the dessert course. Witnesses say the women shouted criticism over Trump’s role in reshaping the Supreme Court, though they could have been protesting:
Control Over Independent Agencies – Trump gave himself more direct power over agencies that are supposed to be independent from presidential influence.
