RFK Jr.’s Vaccine Panel Can’t Even Convince Itself

, , , , ,

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. went into last Thursday’s congressional hearing hoping to look presidential. Instead, he looked like a man who mistook the witness table for an open mic at a conspiracy convention. By the end, even his conservative cheerleaders were quietly slipping out the back door.

One prominent right-wing figure summed it up with the political equivalent of “this guy’s not invited to poker night anymore”: “I’ve seen enough.” Calls to impeach Kennedy – from a presidency he doesn’t technically hold – flooded conservative media within hours.

“Why wait for him to be elected to regret it?” asked one commentator, suggesting Congress could save time by impeaching Kennedy preemptively, like a vaccine for democracy.

Kennedy’s team insists the hearing was a success, pointing to “strong applause from the voices only he could hear.” Unfortunately, the only bipartisan consensus afterward was that Kennedy should never be allowed near a microphone again.
