Trump’s Nobel Peace Prize Nomination criticized, World Responds with Nervous Laughter

, , , , ,

In a plot twist straight out of an over-budget satire, Donald J. Trump has once again been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, prompting global confusion, laughter, and a spike in whiskey sales. Supporters cite his “bold, unconventional diplomacy”, otherwise known as shouting on Twitter and hugging dictators like long-lost prom dates. Critics, meanwhile, argue that peace usually requires… well, less chaos.

“It’s like nominating a flamethrower for Firefighter of the Year,” muttered one baffled Norwegian observer.

The Nobel Committee, while not explicitly rejecting the idea, has reportedly installed new locks and a sarcasm detector. The nomination, submitted by a far-right European MP, praised Trump’s “efforts to avoid World War III by sheer accident.”

Meanwhile, former recipients of the prize were seen quietly distancing themselves, physically and historically, hoping the world forgets the year peace became a punchline.
