A record setting number of candidates have registered for the new By-Election in the Battle River Crowfoot region in an apparent protest of Pierre Poilivere’s attempt to regain a seat in the House of Commons.
Poilivere, who lost his home riding and is now squatting in government housing, thought he would have an easy time taking over the largely Conservative region, but with the ballot now teetering at 118 feet (just short of the first manned flight by the Wright Brothers) and every available adult within the region being registered, it’s difficult to predict the outcome of the upcoming vote.
Between Wildfires and the record setting ballots, Alberta’s supply of trees is dwindling dangerously low.
The printing of these ballots is estimated to cost $118 Million dollars.
