In a plot twist no one saw coming (least of all Fox News), Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene emerged from her conspiracy cocoon this week to accuse Fox News and the New York Post of “brainwashing Americans” into supporting U.S. involvement in a potential Israel-Iran war.
“We are being programmed, y’all,” Greene declared in a breathless video filmed in what appeared to be her garage gym. “They’re trying to make you believe we should go to war for Israel when we can’t even fix the pothole outside my CrossFit box!”
Greene, who once theorized Jewish space lasers caused California wildfires, is now apparently the voice of anti-interventionist reason. Critics were quick to point out the irony of someone who believed in lizard people suddenly drawing the line at Rupert Murdoch.
Fox News has yet to respond, likely confused about whether to defend themselves or just air it live under the chyron: “BREAKING: Woman We Radicalized Turns On Us.”
Meanwhile, foreign policy experts are unsure which is more destabilizing: escalating tensions in the Middle East, or Marjorie Taylor Greene’s brief flirtation with lucidity.
