“I thought he was in Jail already” Russell Brand FINALLY accused of what we all thought he would do

, , , ,

In a plot twist nobody asked for, Russell Brand, the man who once compared himself to a “sexy Jesus,” now finds himself in a role that’s far less divine: defendant. The comedian-turned-YouTube wellness guru faces a string of serious charges, including rape and sexual assault, proving that even the self-proclaimed “free thinker” can’t overthink his way out of a court date.

The charges, spanning 1999 to 2005, are the fallout from a 2023 exposé by The Sunday Times and Channel 4 Dispatches, which painted Brand as less a tortured artist and more a predator in tight jeans. Brand, naturally, denies the allegations, suggesting this is all part of a grand media conspiracy. Of course, this is the same man who once made a career out of turning up to interviews in his underwear, so maybe his judgment on what’s “grand” is a bit off.

In a surreal side plot, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has called for Donald Trump to grant Brand political asylum, likening his plight to Julian Assange. Which makes sense, if you squint really hard and ignore the part where Assange never wrote a memoir titled “My Booky Wook.”

With his YouTube channel demonetized and live gigs dropping faster than his expletive-laden monologues, Brand is due in court on May 30. Until then, he remains a free man, or at least as free as a man can be while simultaneously hiding behind a microphone and a mountain of self-help jargon.
