Alberta separatists shocked to discover Facebook comment section not representative of entire province
Alberta separatists are demanding a new referendum after an overwhelming number of voters chose to remain Canadian, shattering the movement’s deeply held belief that six guys in a truck convoy constitute a majority.
“This is an outrageous assault on democracy,” declared one organizer. “We wanted Albertans to have a voice, not an opinion.”
Separatist leaders dismissed the results as illegitimate, insisting the lion share of Albertans had clearly misunderstood the question by answering it.
Organizers have proposed another referendum with stricter eligibility requirements, including a mandatory Facebook grievance history and at least one unpaid child-support payment.
Meanwhile, separatist leaders vowed to continue their fight against Ottawa’s tyranny, explaining that true freedom means never having to accept an election result, a scientific fact, or a court-ordered custody arrangement.
