Trump Reveals Canadian Tariffs ‘Nobody Knew About’ Except Canada, America And Everyone With Google
President Donald Trump revealed Monday that Canada has been secretly charging tariffs that “nobody knew about; except me,” stunning millions of Americans who had mistakenly believed publicly announced tariffs were public.
The discovery reportedly required Trump to penetrate Canada’s formidable secrecy apparatus, consisting primarily of government press releases, news reports and Canadians repeatedly saying they were imposing retaliatory tariffs.
Trump offered no explanation for how he alone uncovered information available to anyone capable of typing “Canada tariffs” into Google.
The President also insisted America does “very little business” with Canada while continuing a major trade war specifically about the enormous amount of business America does with Canada.
Trump then departed for Nebraska, leaving reporters to wonder what other state secrets he might uncover next, including daylight saving time, Costco memberships and the ingredients printed on the back of a cereal box.
