Delivery Wars Escalate: USPS Driver Shot by Amazon Rival in Suburban Shootout

, ,

Authorities say an Amazon delivery driver allegedly shot a USPS mail carrier Tuesday afternoon in what police are calling “a workplace dispute that crossed corporate lines.” Witnesses reported seeing the two arguing over who had the right of way in a cul-de-sac already packed with Prime vans and mail trucks. “It looked like the battle of free shipping,” said one neighbor.

The USPS driver reportedly shouted, “Neither rain nor snow nor Bezos shall stop me!” before being grazed by a bullet. The Amazon driver fled the scene but left behind multiple undelivered packages marked “Arriving Today (Probably).”

Both companies released statements: Amazon expressed “deep concern” and announced same-day therapy for witnesses, while USPS simply said, “We’ve been through worse.” Experts warn tensions between delivery services could escalate further, especially as Christmas approaches and drones enter the mix. Police are investigating whether FedEx has formed a militia.
