Mark Zuckerberg is suing Meta, and for once, it’s not the one in the hoodie.
A California lawyer, also named Mark Zuckerberg, filed suit against the tech giant after his personal and professional accounts were repeatedly shut down for “impersonating Mark Zuckerberg.” According to the very real, non-billionaire Zuckerberg, the bans have been devastating: “I’m a lawyer, not a Silicon Valley cosplay enthusiast. Frankly, it’s offensive.”
Meta has yet to comment, though insiders speculate the case may create a new corporate paradox: Zuckerberg v. Zuckerberg, moderated by Zuckerberg’s algorithm. Legal experts say the trial could be a nightmare of self-referential confusion, with the possibility that the real Zuckerberg might end up banned from his own courtroom Zoom link.
The lawyer insists he just wants his accounts restored, though he admits the situation has its perks: “At least now I understand what it feels like to be too powerful for my own good.”
